Oregon Tradeswomen Brings Bureau of Labor and Industries Certified
Apprenticeship-Readiness Training Program to Springfield
May 1, 2023 — Oregon Tradeswomen, a Portland-based, nonprofit organization is now enrolling students for a paid training opportunity in Springfield, Oregon. No experience is required, and the paid, 192-hour Bureau of Labor and Industries Training Program gives participants hands-on experience, and essential skills and supports to start a successful career in construction.
Skilled construction workers are in demand and many positions start at $22 per hour or more. Oregon Tradeswomen’s programs help women and other gender minorities access the training, skills, and confidence needed to start and succeed in registered apprenticeship and careers in the skilled construction trades. Oregon Tradeswomen’s program includes supportive services and retention assistance to every graduate throughout their careers.
Applicants should be 18 years of age or older, identify as female or non-binary, have a High School diploma or GED, and have a desire to pursue a career in the construction industry.
