Description
Civil Project Manager/ Estimator:
Manages the overall project direction, completion and financial outcome while fostering the relationship of both the owner and trade partners. We are looking for an individual who has experience bidding and estimating jobs with proficiency. The Project Manager/ Estimator is reasonable for directing and mentoring on-site staff. The positions require business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well have effective communication and client services skills.

Qualifications:
This position requires 3 yrs. of project management experience, and 1-3 years of estimating/ bidding civil construction jobs. Preference given to individuals with construction management, engineering, or equivalent 5 years of industry experience.
Prior knowledge of cost control systems and experience in the use of computerized estimating, quantity takeoff and scheduling programs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Ability to problem solve and communicate corrective actions quickly and effectively.
Ability to work flexible schedules as estimating and project management demands fluctuate.
Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.
Responsibilities:
Review plans & proposal specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare detailed cost estimates, review sub quotes & material prices, close out bids, and help prepare written proposals for public and private heavy/civil construction.
Visit project sites to determine scope of work required in preparing bid/estimate proposals and attend pre-bid meetings.
Submit completed bid/estimate proposals to project owners, managers and/or general contractors in a timely and professional manner.
Provide any clarification on information submitted as needed.
Provide project administrative management of awarded contracts.
Coordinate with Construction Manager and field leadership, establishment of project objectives, procedures, schedules, and performance requirements.
May provide indirect or direct supervision of field crew members/foreman or superintendents.
Maintain documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to support forecasting for future project performance.

We are seeking experienced HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS for commercial and residential projects. Minimum 3 years operator experience with heavy equipment for construction purposes. We are looking for an employee with a clear understanding of plans and specifications, grades, and elevations. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications:

• Previous 3 yrs work experience as a skilled heavy equipment operator
• Clear understanding of plans and specifications, grades, and elevations
• Team oriented and willing to work all phases and tasks of the project
• Operator must be able to dig around utilities and in trenches
• Be familiar with sewer, water, and utility installation
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to do repetitive movements, bend, lift, with little break in between
• Able to work in all types of weather include extreme conditions
• Operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
• Must be dependable
• Must have reliable transportation
